zicon.systems is the organizational and technological advancement of the international platform “Partner for SURE,” which was founded in 2002 at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa. Partner for SURE = International Platform on Public Private Partnership Models for Sustainability in Urban Areas and Regions.

The first projects were launched immediately after the conference in Cape Town (South Africa) and Xian (China). The focus of the projects was on cooperation with the UNEP and the “Global Compact” in China.

Within the framework of these projects, many contacts were established with Chinese entrepreneurs and politicians. The most important of these was with the then head of government, Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

Due to the organizational and technological development of the concept, “Partner for SURE” was renamed “zicon.systems” in 2016.

“zicon” stands for ‘Zlöbl International Consulting.’

 zicon.systems is a network of experts and companies managed by Dr. Herbert Zlöbl, which, in addition to conventional networking methods, works with IT platforms incorporating Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI).
